Ron,
Beautifully built model. Fast and sleek. Has to be if you are going after another ship.

Ron,
Beautiful. Pretty cramped areas on the deck with all the cargo and canons. Interesting of how the oars are stored on the side of the ship.

Ron,
Next question.
What is the material you use and where can I purchase this? I have the book on Diorama's from Seawatch and some good articles I found on the NET.
I had a plan for a diorama of Abel Tasman's ships. Currently building the Zeehaen which is a fluit (one of the most difficult models to build), and after that the Heemskerk, a war yacht. Put them both together in water with the coast of Australia. Later on, I thought this would be too big of a dream and needed to think smaller.
So, a more doable diorama would be a Dutch 17th Century coastal fishing boat either in water or some other scenery. I have lots of plans from Dutch 17th Century ships.

Ron,
Another beautiful display.
Here the water looks so real against the rocks. Also how the people move the cargo and you have them dressed according to the period. Diorama's like this tell a story. The more I look at how water is created the more I need to try this myself.

This is so beautiful!!
Lines that are pleasing to the eye.
A work of art.
I like how you added the stone and it completes the finished model.

Good looking catboat. I always like seeing these boats in different results.
Made mine according to the specs of my sister's Real catboat.

Beautiful, just love these ships. Still working on my Zeehaen and your pictures of Fluits help me a great deal.
Thank you.

Love the details on the water and not just the white part next to the bow but also the rest of the dark blue water. Excellent work. So realistic and this is for all the pictures you uploaded here.

Apricot and nectarine as well as peach, cherry and plum are all in the same family called Prunus. I have some 3/4" slabs of cherry so I can use that. I power carved from cherry a fish and some type of curtain structure for the stern and after many tries it came out pretty good. I'll get some pictures of that.
I have the most problems with people heads. I get the front right and then cannot visualize the sides and back of the head and vice versa. I tried Sculpey an that was better but I want to do it wood. I will continue to practice and still need to look at your build.

Thanks, Steven, I will keep that in mind. On my Fluit, Zeehaen I have several carvings and I have practiced on lots of basswood. Slowly getting better.
I will check out your build.
Thanks

Love the figures you added to your built. Do you have any tips on how to make them?
Much appreciated.

As someone already said "can't really tell if it is made from card or wood".
You mentioned that you have built several of these ships, so with every Pinas you build you will get really good at it.

Love the details such as the door, the gratings and the extra mast. I am assuming it is a mast or is it a rudder?
