The story continues.
First;
the defense as to be removed because the were to high.
Second the opening to get access to the ships is not according to

I just finish to build the canon on third floor, intalling the grading, ladders, and parts of the wall.
Next picture is to figure out how to attach each canon.

WOW, what a real beauty she is I'm impressed with your progress aand fantastis job you are doing on her.
Thanks.
All the wood used for the defense are painted and i hope they will be install this week.(black)

Some of those steps were easier than expected.
Few more to do before final sanding, wax,and painting.
Some parts are missing on the boat for painting purpose, and i am satisfied of the color the wax is giving.

Hi, does instruction manual suggest that type of lower hull planking? Santa Ana is a very beautiful galleon. In my opinion, if you tapered planks at the bow and made all planks parallel to water line she would look much nicer. I am sorry for criticism. (i assume this model has one layer of planking)
Mustafa
Yes and no.
I explain, yes the instruction manuel suggested that kind of planking but the Sapelly wood is very hard to cut or bend so i decided
to go with the natural curve of the hull.
For your second question, yes only one layer of plank.

half of gun port done,
45 more to do, cutting plank top and bottom to 12mm and side one to 9mm.

It's looking beautiful. Those gun ports look perfect. I wish I could cut gun ports that nicely.
Mike
I did mesure every gun port to the proper distance, compare to each other, using a pencil and once
i have all design i start to make the hole.
This way is easier to correct before making hole.

Today i will give my first advise for this kit.
Just build all canon before installing them because some of them will
cause some difficulties, the mounts have no hole on, and it is impossible
to drill them bad qualities of wood.
The hole are for the wheel.
