  1. Excellent work Dimitris B) She is coming along great.I do like the portholes from RB models.I shall check these out.Wondering if they make them small enough to represent pipe flanges on my Fairmount Alpine ;)

    Kind Regards

    Nigel

Hello Nigel, thank you for your kind comments and also for your likes!! :) :) Regarding the portholes I think that the ones that I got are the smallest ones.

  2. Hi Dimitris,

Thanks for the links.  Pretty amazing stuff.  My eyes are slowly going south so I don't think I'll be building anything like that.

I do have my Amerigo waiting in the wings though, so I have been watching your progress.  Very nice.  What kind of wood did you use for the decking?  I think my kit has walnut for the deck and I don't like that.  Did you replace yours?  Doesn't look like walnut.

Hi Salty Dog, thank you for your nice comments . I used the kit's walnut strips. I varnished them (3 coats) with the premium Vallejo mat varnish code 62.062. Feel free to  ask anything you might need, I will gladly try to help.

    Kind regards

    Dimitris

  7. Hello Dimitris, very nicely built and finished.  Being a beginner myself I think I made the right choice to build the Bluenose II as well.  I am learning a lot from it. I will be visiting your post as I go along with mine.
