  1. Nice way to store and carry the Veritas line of miniature tools.
  2. There are three major mountain ranges in NY, Catskills by me, Allegheny in western NY, and the Adirondacks across Northern NY. And some lesser ranges scattered about, Berkshires on Massachusetts border. Come visit !
  3. Yep! Know it well ! Right across the valley from the Old Playboy Club and Resort. They changed the name of the ski area it seems, I remember it as Vernon Valley / McAfee ski area, used to ski there when I was a stationed at Picatinny Arsenal. Not far from my in-laws home. Admiral aand I used to drive right past it on way to visit them (route 94). Great area, Chuck! Heck of a lot more developed that I remember. Best of luck in the move. Oh the Admiral says you should visit High Point for some nice hiking 🚶‍♂️ 😀
  4. Glad to hear you are uninjured, cats also. Be as long winded as you like, surviving a near miss tornado is very traumatic. Take your time getting back to modeling.
  5. Ulster County NY has sent crews to NC and Florida as has Albany NY.
  6. Old saying in US Military "if it's moving salute it; if it's standing still paint it" 😁😉
  7. Go to the beginning of your build log, post #1, click on the 3 dots next to the post #, select Edit in the drop down, this will let you edit the title. Click Save when you're done.
  8. Has anyone heard from our colleagues on Florida's east coast? How they are ?
  9. What a mess! At least you and admiral are uninjured. Prayers answered.
  10. Stay safe Craig! I'm not liking the reports we're seeing up here ! This thing seems to be wobbling all over the place.
  11. I think I'll take this over that. A Buffalo Lake Effect 6 footer is preferable Kidding aside, everyone stay safe. Prayers are with you.
  12. It's now a Category 5 with sustained winds of 160 mph. Everyone stay safe.
  13. He has not responded to any of my emails or PMs. I do know his house is on high ground and he has a Generax auxiliary generator so he has electric, but the Internet service in that area down. I'm sure between his Air Force training and his experience in Emergency Management in NJ he's pretty prepared but still that storm wiped out some cities and towns in that area
  14. I don't know about shaky hands but those figures look pretty darn good to me. I like your coiled rope jig also. Ship is looking really good, Andrew
  15. Talk to your optician anyway. They may have a simple solution. Nothing to lose by asking.
  16. Before you do that, I would wait until you actually get your new glasses, then take one of your figure pieces with you to your doctor's appointment and discuss your vision issues with him/her. When the doctor has the physical figure in front of him, seeing its actual size and how you hold it to paint, he can recommend ways to continue painting without straining you eyes or your financial budget. You're too good a modeler to give up just yet.
  17. Latest news from NBC said dam is okay and not failing but evacuees advised to not return until state of emergency is lifted. Dam is on the North Carolina- Tennessee border, town is in Tennessee
  18. News reports say storm surge of 15-20 feet in Big Bend area of Florida, that's a small tsunami! Glad you came thru relatively unscathed, Craig.
  19. Yep, rode both of them back in 1977. Fantastic ride and scenery as well
