  1. You're doing great with the carronade tackle Norway...patience is the key here haha. But it seems you are handling it pretty well. Nice set-up with the tweezers in the vise 👍
  2. Looks great😊👍 Did you choose white because of a particular reason? Looks fine though.
  3. Made a few big steps the last days...made and painted the skylights and the companion. And glued everything on the deck afterwards. Also the pumps The companion was not easy, that needed some re-do's haha. I wheatered the items also, but the photo's don't show it that well
  4. Thanks! Afterwards...first rigging the whole thing and then separately I make the cheese wheels with the method that is described in the manual. That was some trying, but at some point you get the hang of it. So not on the deck, but on a piece of tape first.
  5. Those are straight from the kit I will keep things pretty standard from the kit with this build. First goal is to finish a ship😂
  6. Thanks for your kind words! And have fun with your first build. Just take it slow 😉. And maybe start a build log so we can follow your progress to👍
  7. Tnx Peter! I saw it in your build that you painted the hinges copper. I considered it, but I still doubting if I'm painting it copper. Because the actual copper is aging with time. So there is going to be a colouring difference. I think I'm deciding it at the end of the build. Then I can mix maybe the colour right to match the coppering. Thanks for the compliments and tips!
  8. The rudder is fixt! The coppering is a bit shiny😁. But that gets old soon. You can also see one of the scuppers that I added.
  9. Yes it looks pretty strong also...thanks to Caldercraft... they did a very good job with the instructions with this model. Everything seems clear and solid.
  10. Beam fits like a glove...just dryfitted for now. Needs to run parallel with the keel. Looks like it!
  11. Well done sir, so far....looks like a difficult scale to build on! But easier to display somewhere
  12. Something weird in the manual. The hawse holes need to be on different places. As you can see also on the photo's. But if you read the instructions... they have to be drilled on the same height...9mm under the capping rails. But if you look at the pictures...the one on port side looks higher then the one starboard.
