    Starting with the stem. I just did a quick dry fit and everything fits together almost perfectly. I haven't touched anything yet and just very minor adjustments needed. Doesn't get any better than this. I won't remove any laser char from the surfaces until they are glued together. Don't want to risk rounding over any edges.

    Just a few pictures of whats in the box. Had a few items shake loose in transport so needed to make sure I got everything back where I belong. I also printed a few parts of the plan as a test. Was able to get the copies of the plans done too.

    This will be my build log for the Speedwell. I just received the box yesterday so not much to talk about yet. I need to go through the parts and make sure all is organized. I am planning on having a copy made of the plans in Tyvek and a second paper set. I don't plan to cut them up. I can just print the areas of the plan at scale that I need using the pdf's provided by Chuck. I haven't set up a build board yet but I will probably build the keel and all the frames first anyway. More to come.

    I think the key to not removing too much material is to let the sandpaper or stick do the work. No need to apply a lot of pressure when sanding.

    I'm working on the bowsprit on the HMS Sphinx and I'm looking for some help since I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm not sure how to go about attaching the blocks in the diagram below. Help would be appreciated.

    Hi there Andrew. You already had a build log started for this model back on June 12. I merged the December post with the original build log. There is no need to create a new log for each entry, just add your new posts onto your original build log. Thanks, Jeff
