Hi Keith, probably could. I'll have to look around a little. Finding stuff down here can be a bit of a challenge, but it would add to it for sure.

The chairs really slowed me down. More to do for the upper decks, but I have an idea for a little jig that I might try.

Isn't there supposed to be a big flappy round thing on the back? Just kidding Mike. Looks fantastic. You will have her sailing the shelf in no time.

Very nice Mike. Coming along very well. Mine is progressing, but not much you can see. Getting into the main deck details and interiors. Waiting on paint hasn't helped either. Getting good quality supplies down here is a slow process. I can do lots, but can't finish much.

Looking good Slog. You are getting it wrestled down.

LOL It's okay Mike. We are allowed a little slippage every now and then.

Very nice Mike. Good to see some more progress. My Mississippi has been languishing a little lately. Who'd a thunk this retirement life could get so busy. Hopefully your update will motivate me to get back on it. Keep'em coming.

Very nice Slog. They came out great. I don't know if I could muster that much patience. Thanks for the detail.

Thanks for the detailed description Slog. What type of glue do you use?

Hi Mike, it's really frustrating when our expectations don't quite match our toolkits. Throw in some uncooperative pieces and it makes for a bad modelling day. I know you have seen it on my log too. The upside is when we get/develop additions to our toolkit. I think you have done well with this already. But then again I live with expectations and toolkit that are far more modest than yours. Well done amigo.

Very nice Slog. Coming along beautifully. Question; I live in the tropics and the humidity gets very high here. Would this create problems with a card model? We have been hesitant to bring most of our photographs down for that reason.

I hate wallpaper!! I won't do it for the admiral and can't believe I did it for this model. As usual the reasons became very obvious very quickly. The first one went on quite well. I thought I might be able to do this then disaster struck. Paper stuck and I tore it to shreds trying to get it off.
Can you see it?
$30 Printer/Copier and a little creativity solved the problem.

Thanks Mike, I see your point and it's a good one although I'm glad I hadn't thought of it yet. I managed to plank one wall on the wrong side as it looks almost identical front and back. Almost!!! Didn't realize until an adjacent wall was test fit. The planking was easy to replace. The wallpaper wouldn't have been.
Cobr, that's what first class gambling establishments had in the day. Don't you know. I refuse to help the Admiral with her decorating and now find myself doing my own. Who'd a thunk?

Nice job Mike. Planking came out very nice. There are more contours in that hull than were apparent from the frames.

Hi Captain,
I too will pull up a chair if you don't mind. My interest drifts towards this era, but I'm particularly interested in the medium. What can come out of paper blows my mind and quite likely will be my next adventure. Looking forward to following your progress.

Hey Mike,
Now that I have connected you to this build I will follow along with interest. Both our boats are at a similar stage so it will be fun as we continue along. I agree with Kurt. Given the number of bulkheads on your model and the apparent care you took to fair them, I think the planking will go very smoothly.

Thanks very much Mike. When I get closer I will dive into the details with you. I would have merrily continued on without realizing it. Beautiful job on yours. I hope I can get mine close to that.
Thanks again

Incredible detail Slog. Still amazing what can come out a piece of paper in the hands of a skilled craftsman.
