  1. If you want to be a member here then you have to accept the rules. If you want to see new models in the future then you have to support those who put in the time to develop them and not those who just steal their hard work. (I had to smile at the bit on the ZHL ebay sales complaining about others who have been putting their models on there for sale - pot meet kettle)
  2. It is. There are several build logs on here which you may find useful http://www.partworkmodels.co.uk/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=148&sid=e5ca03e5b03d1abea3a17d7341e5f1a6
  3. There was a really nice build on the old site by one of the ladies (can't recall her name but it had something to do with snakes) - I recall that she had problems with the bulwarks around the bow area and made some modifications. Presumably it has all been lost in the great crash. She also made sails for hers which were a great addition.
  4. My son is a conservator at the Mary Rose - I'll ask him if he can find anything out.

About the NRG

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
