Thought you would ... spread it out ... Another holiday!? It seems I keep on postponing any advance on Seydlitz. Just finished a 60 hr working week. My hands seem to miss the immovability require for the job at present. Very frustrating, as I would like to finish the RCN Destroyer too.

not much to like about that ... I hope it will be a relative easy fix/repair

did you use the epoxy yet? I just wondered what would happen if you added the sand on top. Does epoxy stick to clinging film/citchen wrap, if not you could put that between the epoxy and the sand ... just a thought ...

    Hi Cog,
it is not a problem to replace the wrong piece, I have already replaced the particular, but I did not remember to take the picture, in practice I made a pulley with a larger diameter, instead of 4 mm is 6 mm, comes out of the planking of two mm approximately, this time correctly,
I have finished closing the hatches, and I have started to put the ropes on the inner walls with which the bombarde's guns will be tied

I started laying the inner planking
I started to bind the barrels I started to bind the barrels with their bases ( gun mounts)

placing it on the bridge, near the openings for the cannons

I made some details, the box to the left of the bombard, inside which there should be bullets.
In the following picture I also put a "mascolo" (next to the cross of the block) in which the gunpowder was put,
the loading system was backward, the masculine fitted to the breech, which due to the inevitable defects of the connection (we were in 1400/1500) did not allow the use of large doses of gunpowder,
for bullets were used stone balls, the trenches (called blocks) were made from large trunks of hollow oak, which rested on wooden boards used instead of wheels, in addition to the photo also shows a drawing in which are shown the details of loading system of the medieval bombard,

    other updates will follow
    to hear from us

I'm not much in favour of the cans, although practical, it is hard to regulate airflow. When the can cools down, it will diminish, same goes for the pressure when nearing the final stotage of its contents. The cooling you can only partly avoid by putting it in warm water, but it has the tendency to float, and seems to popup at the worst of times ...

me neither.......that's why I modified the fitting on the EZ brush to run off my compressor.   for a person who doesn't have the room for a compressor...... ......even a small one,  they may be a fair substitute........but having to stop frequently must make it a long drawn out process.   I have a friend...Don Wheeler,  who has tried and evaluated many different types of airbrushes....some good......some not so good.   I guess there is a love/hate relationship for the Testor brushes.......Aztek in particular.   haven't spoken to him for quite a while now,  but his blog site is still up.

ship's boats look awesome Greg........I use the sprue method,  like Carl,  when painting as much as I can.   the only drawback is flash.......trimming and cleaning the part before painting can null that thought out real quick

When possible I painted them on the sprue, or if I'm lucky, the attachement holes for the cables to the davits. On BlueTack I find it a pain: Needs painting twice to cover primer, and after that for the colour. Next time I'll try stickin' a sewing pin in the bottom

I use cocktail sticks for these like this, and the beauty of being wooden you can even sand them thinner if need, blue tack on the other end and there you have a little base to hold items clear and upright while you paint or wait to use them.

So you can turn on the lights
The rigging is just an additional mast. Instead of one you do two
