  1. The drawing only shows the starboard side. I have been assuming the port side is a mirror image. It’s not identified on the main deck drawing. I thought it might be a flood light. Are you saying Nav lights?
  2. Does anyone know what this circle represents? Here is the best photo I have of it. Cheers 🍻
  3. This Vintage Kit is complete. All parts have been inventoried. Instruction Booklet and 3 sheets of plans are included. Kit not started 200.00 (or best offer) + shipping from 04005. Shoot me a PM If interested I use PayPal. Cheers 🍻
  4. Yes, I took the photos, it was my visit to Mystic that inspired me to purchase the Marine Model Company vintage kit. This was my first wood kit. Learned a lot during this build. Enjoy your project when you get to it. I think I covered everything well in the build log, but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to send a PM Cheers 🍻
  5. These are from a German Conpany, they also do N Scale https://www.modellbahnshop-lippe.com/Physiques/Other+people/Preiser-79137/gb/modell_50841.html
  6. Finishing the Deck Furnishings… Hatches… Fore Mast Fife Rail… Cabin Ventalators… Galley Stack… Steering Stand w/Helm Bell… Main Mast Fife Rail… Pump… Ventalators… Stern Open Chocks… Now I can start finishing out the fittings on the Masts and then Shrouds. 😜 Cheers🍻
  7. Pre-painted… I’m not that good 😊 Had a hard time finding HO scale boat crew for the right era. I think these are pretty good, although they cost a pretty penny or two. LOL 😆
  8. The Crew is here… The Captain says it’s time we get on it and get this tub built. We have a deadline to meet… Cheers 🍻
  9. REALLY coming along nicely, Bob. Glad I could help keep you on track. LOL 😆 But then you are doing really good at that yourself. 👍 Cheers 🍻 John
  10. Rob, With a little research here on MSW you can find that Ammonia isn’t recommended for plank bending. However, it does break down the wood fibers quickly allowing for bending quickly, but may damage the wood in the long run. For my purposes (very small pieces) it works well, as I use CA glue to hold these pieces in place. The CA glue adds another controversial component, as well. 🧐 John
  11. I believe it’s a bit quicker than warm water. I use so little of it at a time fumes don’t seem to be an issue. But then I don’t notice the CA glue either. 😜
  12. Fore Mast Conpleted… Mizen Mast completed earlier in the build. Here are the steps to building the Main Mast. Soaking bass wood in 100% clear ammonia for bending. Masts now ready for rigging attachments prior to shroud placement. However, I need to go back to finishing the deck furnishings to included the fife railings, before any shroud work can be done. Cheers 🍻
  13. Agreed Trevor… White cap rails stem to stern. The same for the bulwarks. The Bow Sprit definitely oiled, I would stain it light brown also, as I did mine. There you have it Bob… The Bluenoses are looking good. 👍 John
