  1. Thanks Adrieke, still a lot of painting to do and even some rigging (rigging is not my favourite). Thanks Wim, apparently a lot of various skills are required for modeling, enough challenges to keep us busy. Regards, John
  2. This is giving a nice contrast indeed. Well done ! Regards, John
  3. Working now on the machine room steam stacks and the turnbuckles. The bow mast, central mast and stern mast turnbuckles are on picture 66 of the photo instruction book numbered 203, 202 and 204 respectively. On the parts list they are numbered 202, 203 and 204. On the 1:1 drawing the numbering is 200, 203 and 204. This all looks more a kind of Sudoku than helpful instructions Regards, John
  4. Nice job on the planking and the gun ports. Looking great. Regards, John
  5. Thanks Rebecca, sorry to hear about your problems with your hands, hope you will be fine very soon. Thanks Carl, for sure she is a mannish woman Regards, John
  6. Hi mr Fastbuilder, looks you are about to complete her. She looks fine. Regards, John
  7. Adrieke, learnt this at the time from your log on MSW 1.0 (in your rebuilt of the log it is now post #13) . Have placed the main stacks, my riverboat now feels like a real king. Regards, John
  8. In fact, i didnot look ahead, but just reading Adrieke's log who painted the main stacks in an early stage, so I was already made aware of this. Regards, John
  9. Have sanded the mainstacks a bit conical to the top (it can hardly be noticed), the three rings differs in diameter. Regards, John
  10. Thanks Adrieke, In the meantime I have the eyebolts placed right above the rings. The 1:1 plan is very obvious about that. Drilling in the ring should not be an option to me, since I have not the means to do so. (lucky me) Regards, John
  11. Yep, there is a lot of painting to do, nice job Mick. Regards, John
  12. The accessories to form the main stacks are painted. Will apply one layer of varnish to protect the paint. Regards John
  13. Thanks Wayne and there is still plenty work before finishing her. I really like it. Regards, John
  14. Thanks Mick, Yes, there are a lot of wooden board on the outside of the King of the Mississippi as well. They are ment to support the decks as well as carrying the railings. Or is this not what you mean ? Regards, John
  15. That is for sure a very nice gift Sjors. You give each others presents where you both have the benefit from. Very smart Regards, John
  16. Thanks Mohamad Thanks Carl, as a matter of fact I had to steel this valuable towel, the admiral is not missing it (yet) . Regards, John
  17. Very nice Sjors, hope you will exclusively use the tools, not the kit. Regards, John
