Kurt Johnson got a reaction from Keith Black in Medieval Fortified Village by Ekis - 1/87 scratch base kit Aedes Ars
Ekis,
Once again this building appears to be the most interesting one of all. Based on your drawing of it, it would even be nice as a stand alone project, maybe in twice the scale of the village. That would be of course in addition to the present one. That would make a cool vignette. Just the buildings facade in a shadow box. I might try something like that. Not anywhere near as ambitious, but with a greater likely hood of completing it. You have got me thinking ( a very unusual occurrence to be sure.)
Do you have any particular pictures of your inspiration to show us like you did with the oven?
Looking forward to the next update.
Regards,
Kurt

Ekis, I apologize to you. This was completely misconstrued. I was trying to be light hearted. Please disregard my post, I was not construing any negative intent. I was being flippant if that translates correctly.

Does the lord have a good reputation and loved by all, or is he one with a more typical type?

Ekis, The oven takes the prize so far for the most interesting building. The street level views really look great. So what is next to do? Are you bouncing around to different parts of the village to keep things “fresh”, or do you have a planned sequence? Have you surprised yourself yet by going in a completely different way than you had envisioned things? It sure looks like fun.

Ekis,
Take your time, it’s worth the wait on our part. The well, trough is a nice combination. I like that everything isn’t perpendicular. Much more natural looking. Any other specialty buildings that will be needed. Blacksmith’s maybe. Tavern?
