  1. Evening all, paintwork is going quite well on my Jager, base colours are on and face hands detailed and washed, photos are not great but they give an idea. OC.
  2. Morning all, so after putting my KGL 3rd Hussar away, I have started on my Dutch 27th Jager, I have used one of my French line infantry as they share very similar uniforms, so far I have cut away his lower left side at the back of his coat where his sword and bayonet was, this has been replaced with a British bread bag and water bottle, that has been cut away from one of my British figures then trimmed to fit and glued in place, I have also filed away the Shako plate as I will attempt to paint in the Dutch design that's a horn - that's all I have done to him so far hence why no pics Yet. A bit of history of why I am including a single Jager figure in my dio - at Waterloo the 27th Jager skirmishers where famed out in front of the ridge running from the road all the way across, when the French columns advanced and got neat the bulk of the Dutch Jagers fell back, however I am placing my single figure on the road with the 95th rifles firing towards the French. OC.
  3. Just a re cap of what units I will have displayed on my dio - French 54th and 55th Ligne Line Infantry. French 1st and 4th Cuirassier Cavalry. KGL 1st and 2nd Light Rifles. KGL 5th Line. KGL 3rd Hussars. British Life Guards. British Royal Dragoon Guards. British Royal horse Guards (The Blues). Dutch 27 Jagers. German Hannoverian Luneburg Btn. OC.
  4. Evening all, right I am calling this guy done, still more to do. OC.
  5. My understanding is Birmingham had ambitious plans to create a mini Monaco to promote them selves and attract people to the city, they put on these Formula 3000 and other car races over a few years till it was all stopped. OC.
  6. I have got a bit more to do on him - I will do a wee bit of slightly lighter shade Blue for high lights on his jacket and pelisse, then my flat coat to seal him. OC.
  7. Evening all, just for a change I have returned to figure painting - here is one to surprise you, in the shape of a 3rd KGL Hussar, similar to the English Hussars, he will be placed on the edge of the Garden Hedge close to the Royal Horse Guards (The Blues). OC.
  8. That is looking so nice mate. OC.
  9. She turned out really nice, I see your frustration regarding the screw - rudder situation. OC.
  10. Afternoon all, just a couple of pics to show where I have placed the pelisse. OC.
  11. Evening all, more work has been done on my odds and ends - painted and weathered Pelisse, will have a flat top coat over the top when fully dry, the muskets are getting some colour, and the knapsacks are getting their straps painted, still more work to do. With the Pelisse - I first layed down a Black primer, then Dark Green followed with a bit of White mixed with the Green to make a slightly lighter shade - ths was painted on the high light areas leaving the sunken shadow areas Dark Green, I then went over with a wash, then finished with a light dry brush dusting of my dust paint, its made to look dusty as it will be sitting on the dirty dusty road. OC.
  12. Congratulations - what you did was to convert a very poor old kit that out of the box just looked poor in quality and detail, and you have given it some life - and now placed in a well deserved place in its case. OC.
  13. Good to see you back on your build - sometimes sme time off helps to get ones mojo back. OC.
