Morning all, I have decided to attempt my scenery profiling using sheets of typing paper (as I have these to hand) has any body tried this formula for model scenery as I can not find any links on the net, its sounds straight forward in my head - just a case of having enough paper for the height I want - then just sloping the A4 sheets in the directions I want using PVA to keep them in place and build it up as I go, don't foregut on top of this I have my grass sheet that will be glued over the top of the contours. Looking good Alan, so hard to pull these sea scapes off, and we thought land scenery is tough, looking forward to seeing how this finishes. OC.

Morning all, so working forward - I have glued down the raised floor for the wood store (no real excitement as it will be mostly covered), but the next move is to work on the brick wall, I am making this a Belgium Grey wall (as it was going from local history and pics of the period) I have done a basic primer and stone Grey coat, next I will make a few different shades of Grey - Light - Dark - Sandy in a few pools in my wet pallet (flower pot drip plate) then randomly paint the bricks the different colours, after leaving to dry I will then add my dry brushing dust - leave to dry then after add a few dark washes. About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
