  3. thank you so if i was to do the frames red, light grey decking and white bulkhead (to enhance lighting I would not be shot, why was the lighting crap,? was it to reduce fire risk, and if i was to put lighting in, unseen would that also spoil the effect - lol asking for a friend

Good evening everyone Day 21 fwd section 1st cargo hold bulkhead midships tank top going on stern no progress making up the first Bulkhead bulkhead, scoring the card on different sids, allows the shape to be obtained tank tops going on the midships section forming the box girders to keep the fwd bulkhead in place and now its getting to big for the work bench
  5. good afternoon everyone on a new build of a 1960's cargo ship, what colours would have been used, this is for internal details, bilges frames tank tops/decks bulheads etc was thinking of white bulkheads, green decks and red frames

  7. build log day 19 forward section tank tops and lower forepeak good evening everyone thank you for comments and likes i should have just continued doing all the tank tops, but its nice to show the sections in different stages of development (well i think so lol), the lower forepeak was a bit of a change away from cutting slots the red is Halfords rattle can red primer, but i may go to a red/brown using the red primer in the airbrush, a hairy stick is out of the question the middle missing plate behind bulkhead 164 goes in when the pillar is put in the double bottom floors exposed are being left that way, as i make my plans for the cutaway sections

  9. i will perhaps never build another big scale 1st rate, time is against me to do all the other builds i wish to do, unless @chris watton brings out the royal George, however i did enjoy the Caldercraft Victory, even if it took me 7 years

  12. good evening everyone thank you for comments and likes day 15 fwd /aft tank top logitudinals day 16 fixing middle section double floor frames removing batches of 10 of the floor frames, trimming if necessary to fit over the bottom plate longitudinals and gluing into position
  13. thanks everyone for comments and like, very much appreciated Day 14 double bottom floors are in its just a task now to remove each pair and adjust them to fit nicely the gaps are where the three sections overlap, i have about 10 to put in when they are joined up

  15. Day 13 centre section double floor frames good evening everyone still ploughing through these, hope to complete the tomorrow, then its time to glue them in and get the centre line to be a lot tidier, im happy with the progress,
  16. i believe there are more double bottom floor frames fitted on the kit than the real thing, possible to ensure some rigidity i am not aware of any other kit, this complex in card, by having it as a cutaway, i hope to keep some of this detail for others to see NOT MY PHOTO
  17. that should not have been in the post, But, the book about Max is a true ongoing story of a guy, with depression, after a car crash, in pain, and feeling very low, and contemplating taking his own life, however he meets Max a English Springer Spaniel, and takes ownership of him, from there the his world has turned around, and now does a lot of fund raising and candidly talks about the illness, i bought the book, and it arrived today, but the wife has taken it off me to read for herself the PDSA awarded max the Order of Merit last year for his work Keswick's Max the Miracle Dog gets PDSA Order of Merit - BBC News most days there is a live feed on Facebbok of the daily walks followed by 1000's of people, there are now three dogs Max Harry and Paddy however as it is true, life goes on and Max now aged 14.5 years has a brain tumour, but still out on his walkies on yesterdays show Max Out in the Lake District | Facebook Max the Miracle Dog: The Heart-warming Tale of a Life-saving Friendship

  19. Day 10 and 11 centre section double bottom floors thank you for comments and likes not much to show for about 8 hours cutting, but its getting there
  20. very nice, i havnt abandoned mine, just i have so many projects, that i want to try, and they all get finished at some time
  21. good evening everyone Day 9 Double bottom floors stern section frame 10- 50 knowing i was going to do the after section, i should have kept the sheets separate rather than this first fit showed no issues state of play this evening
