  1. Very Nice indeed, he will look great looking over my shoulder whilst i build mine
  2. good evening everyone thank you for comments and likes Day 83 deck and hull plates continuing with the stbd side i have put a few deck plates on i am using tacky glue which is just a thick PVA and i am finding it was dropping between the transverse beams, so i changed the way i am doing it by putting a brown tape over the beams with ca glue and then pva on top of them to put the plates on, it seams to be going down ok update the plates that were dropping slightly between the beams has now sorted itself out now its dry the hull plates are just tacked on, as the bilge plates are still to be found, cut out and put on loving this build
  3. the port side is quite secure now, i was going to leave a lot of the stbd side open (cutaway) but i may Have to put the frames in, to get the hull plates lined up, just to remove a lot of it, its just another of my idea's / intention, but not fully thought it through lol

  5. Good evening everyone day 81 forepeak upper start of stbd side frames lots done in last couple of days, forepeak upper module made up quite a nice little project, putting into position might be a different story all the top deck transverse frames are now in place, and with a slight adjustment they will sit flush she was tired and needed to have a sleep on her side spent 3 hours this morning removing 170 plus frames, did that before taking the boi out for walkies at 0700
  6. so the top of that ist lime strip is flush with the top of the lower gunport sill, thats clever great update thank you
  7. about 1/2 way through now, hopefully before @chris watton can release the 1/64 Indy
  8. great start, I will follow your progress not for me @Old Collingwood, i will have satisfied my card urge after my present SD14 build, back to wood after this
  9. Good evening everyone thank you for comments and likes Day 78 upper deck transverse beams fitted well that went better than expected, each transverse beam now fitted to its relevant hull frame, and appropriate deck level beams, im amazed how well it is going together
  10. Good evening everyone thank you for comments and likes Day 76 fwd and midships top deck although only in temporary for now the midships box girders and the upper forepeak are rechecked for final fitting, a few deck plates, lighting and fitting points for cargo to sort out oh and another bulkhead im quite pleased with the way the build is going forepeak frames
  11. very nice, looks great with the figures bringing it to life, might find mine out again one day
  12. Good evening everyone Day 74 cargo experiment failed well i am on day 74,but not a lot has changed since my last update, part of the reason is the last update i dont know why (it happens every build,) doing the cargo completely threw me out of my happy routine, it was about Tuesday when i took pipes and bricks out and told myself to get on with the build. instant mojo back, i know what i want to do, just not thought hard enough about how i want to achieve it, today the tween deck is going in, im sure photos will follow tomorrow out yesterday for a drop of sunshine Tween deck Bulkheads
  13. i broke the news to her this morning that this would be the next build, the compromise took less than 10 seconds, the 1/200 Titanic and KA mk1 will have to go
  14. i certainly need to make straps up but also need to possibly redo the load/fill gaps, and give it some more depth, but i need to get my head around how much needs to be left open to actually see inside. at the same time i need these load out made now to ensure they fit, i seam to be in a catch 22 position (but a nice catch 22)
