Back building models after a 30 year hiatus.  Kits have come a loooong way since the die cut balsa wood airplane models I used to build with my dad on Saturday mornings many moons ago.

Bought my first ship kit (CSS Alabama - Mamoli) recently and promptly botched it so badly I scraped it and bought another (Syren Brig by Model Shipways).  I have done much research and reading which led me to this site.  I greatly enjoy following the ship building logs.

This time around, I'm taking my time with the build.

Gidday Ronko and a warm welcome from the Land Dowunder.

I agree re the quality of kits. Long gone are the days of timber with a printed pattern to cut out with a fretsaw.

You have certainly found the right site for modelling expertise and support.

Wishing you all the best with your build.

Mark.
