Bill Morrison Posted March 9, 2022 Share #297 Posted March 9, 2022 Chris, One of the features that has often been criticized in the Heller Le Soleil Royal is the aft run of the hull below the waterline, which many believe is too shallow. Another is the depth of the hull below the waterline. Given the many models of SR and other French ships of the line of the era, I think that Heller is probably more correct than not. Your model seems to confirm my point. I have a copy of Les Vasseux du Louis XIV. My French may be lacking. The many drawings seem to confirm this as well. Thanks again for a wonderful build!
