Jewelry Tools

Recommended Posts

I saw this Jewelry tool dealer this morning for the first time.

Jewelry tools are very useful for us the model ship makers.

In the flex shaft and rotary category, to give an example, if you want to buy something much better than a Dremel; brushless are the best.

Many jewelry hand tools are perfect for ship modeling. In particular for metal shaping; parallel and needle nosed pliers are great. A hand vise for holding small parts is very useful as well.

They look to have very competitive prices for Foredom products.  Are there  good reasons to go with their 1/3HP rather than the 1/6HP for our ship model drilling and carving needs?  My old Dremel flex unit is still working, but I am not sure how much longer it will last.  At least that is what I keep telling myself in order to justify the expenditure for a Foredom unit.

TIA

Allan
