Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but here goes:

A couple years ago, I stopped my build of Vanguard's Speedy. At that point, I had gotten to the point where I had made the two masts and the bowsprit. Next step was going to be spars and then rigging. The parts size were getting the best of me so I decided to take a break from this build for while. While this break was longer than I anticipated, I just redid my workspace and decided to finish the Speedy. However, it has acquired a considerable amount of dust.  Any sugestions on removing it?

I use a small paintbrush to loosen the dust. I hold the end of a vacuum cleaner hose close to the model to suck up the loosened dust.

CAUTION: Remove any loose parts (not fastened down) first or you may have to sort through all the dust and lint in the vacuum bag. Guess how I know?

At the local museum which has a number of model ships I use a small low power vacuum cleaner , and checked the bag, and a paint brush. Then I use cotton buds dipped in water.

And get yourself a big, thin plastic sheet or bag, like the kind that cover clothes from the dry cleaner. Cut it, so it will drape over your "resting" model projects and keep the dust off for you.

I used to use my shop vac and a brush, but now I use a dust buster and a brush, it has a smaller bag to siffed through  later lol.

I bought one of these canless Hurricane X3 rechargeable systems. It is designed to clean computer components but works equally as well on my models.
