Hi, is the orange fund raising banner meant to provide a link for to make a donation? On my I phone it is not functioning.

I have found the donation link at the bottom of the home page unfortunately my credit card keeps being rejected. I tried a few times but was not successful. Not sure how to proceed at this point. Any suggestions?

Made my donation today using the link. Didn't have any issues... 

 

Perhaps not an accepted type of card?

Call the fraud dept for that card - they might have just blocked it. 
 

I bought two things at the Apple Store recently with my Apple CC and Apple detected the second Apple purchase erroneously as fraud.

Thanks for the heads up. It appears everything is ok with the card however I have been unable to make a donation.

Had the same problem, paypal was rejecting my card that works fine in dozens of other shops and services. Or maybe my bank already considers paypal a method of choice of scammers and fraudsters...

The only method that worked was a bank transfer to paypal account and then a direct transfer to NRG (not using the donation link). Maybe that would work for you? It might imply extra fees and FX conversions, but better than nothing.

Contact https://modelshipworld.com/profile/19284-ferretmary1/ to get an email for the direct transfer without the donation box.

Thanks for the response Mike. I have been a victim of fraud previously with a fake PayPal account so it’s possible the card company have intervened. Definitely reluctant to use PayPal going forward.

Trust me, we don't use a fraudulent PayPal account for our donations application.

Sorry James, certainly not my intention to suggest you are using a compromised account. I was only looking for an explanation of why I am unable to donate.

I clicked on the donation request and nothing happened.  Sorry guys, you need to look at the links.  Also, just prior to Xmas is possibly not the best timing.  We all have other commitments.

I used the “Donate Now” button near the bottom of the home page yesterday and it worked.  I think some people might be trying to click on the banner at the top of the home page.

Just donated via PayPal following the Donate button on top right of page, not the banner, no problem. 
 

Let’s hope this post doesn’t scare anyone off donating. Simple, safe process. The multiple banners are a bit of a distraction but the Donate button is where it’s always been year round.

Could someone perhaps tie a link directly to the donate banner at the top of the page? It might make it easier for some users and a fraction less friction always helps...

I don't understand. You select your currency, add the amount and then just hit the Donate Now button.

 

I thought it was pretty easy 🤔

Absolutely, it certainly is. But I think it might help certain members if one could navigate directly to the donate page by clicking on the banner at the top of the page in the same way one navigates to the ship modelers handbook for example.
