Well,I haven't got a clue what the braces are,but I'm really not that concerned about this build being historically accurate!!

The rigging's 3/4 done now,so I'm definitely not giving up!!

Great Job Keith!

Seems you have your hands full with two build at the same time.

One question: I can see your are not finished with the canon holes, is it true?

I am about to start this step on my own Victory and looking for good advices and tips.

Best regards

I can,t believe your finished ,there must be a record of some sort for that ,and quality dosen,t seem to have suffered either . I  always start a build thinking this will be my best and finish thinking if only i had done that bit better, but i think most people are the same , so your not on your own ,we are our own worst critics !! .I have enjoyed following your build and look forward to your log on the Cutty Sark ,you should be finished it for christmas when i hope to be started rigging ???  Have Fun

Hi

I am Philippe from Bruges, Belgium. I'm also started the Victory from Billings.

What strikes me is that there is no black rigging  rope supplied. Only different beige cords.

I now that stading rigging shouldt be black.

Thanks in advance.

Philippe.

The front columns in this kit are plywood, and after many attempts to bend it round the formers,I've decided that it's easier if I make them out of some planking instead.A bit more filling and sanding should do the trick.

So far, this is the first bit of this kit that I've had to alter, but I'm sure it won't be the last!
