the learner got a reaction from Oliver1973 in La Belle 1684 by Oliver1973 - 1/36
Yes we all learn from what others do and how they do it and we become better in what we do, regardless what we do.. as long as we attempt to do it better. Your build inspires us all.

the learner got a reaction from mtaylor in Golden Hind (ex-Pelican) by Baker - FINISHED - scale 1/45 - Galleon late 16th century
I to think it should be attached to the formast.

the learner got a reaction from Hennie in Sovereign of the Seas by Hennie - Sergal - 1:78
Hennie, I will be following your build with great interest as I have the kit and at sometime in the near future hopefully will be starting my build. I just ordered the John McKay book on the Sovereign. Did the sails come with the kit or did you order separately? I bought a started build and it's been awhile since I have perused the box and I do not remember any sails. I do have extra brass fitting that was in the box along with the bubble packed ones. I will be checking in often with you, i am sure i will have a lot of questions as your build progress towards completion. I assume you are going to full fully rig her.

Cat head, thank you for posting your method on sail making. Interesting and well done! I am sure all who read this agree. I do plan on using paper sails for my next model as I have only used cloth at this point.

Been awhile but your build is quite nice and progressing beautifully. Thanks for reposting the photos on the stern deadwood construction!
This was the Alfred I was telling you about, even unfinished it is still a good looking build

the learner got a reaction from Canute in HOGA (YT-146) by captainbob - FINISHED - 1:96 - SMALL - Navy yard tug
That would work but not quite as accurate, I Did find these plans and by applying the 109ft should work as the under water shape is similar. If I drew out the section plans and compared them they should be similar.
Thanks, guy
