Hello dear friends and thank you a lot for your feedback and kind words. I am very honoured and pleased. And once again Happy New year to you all! That´s right, I use various materials, but I try to use card/paper as far as it goes, but sometimes paper has got limits (solidity and durability), or it is easier to make some details of other materials with much better result. I have no special tools, unfortunately. The most important for me is final impression and durability. Some years ago I used only paper, but was not satisfied with "paper" looking result. I am honoured, thank you. Your work is also a great inspiration for me, I admire the realism and a high level craftsmanship of your models. Don´t worry, dear friend. I am pleased sharing my work with you. Sometimes i am a bit busy to add new post ( it is also quite difficult to me write in English), but I am going to continue as soon as possible. Well, the Royal Caroline is already closed - all decks are in their places and i am continuing with fitting and lighting on stern. Enjoy the pics and have a great time Kind regards Doris- 883 replies

Hello dear friends, thank you very much for your kind words and comments, I appreciate them a lot. I am really pleased sharing my work with you. I use mostly card and self adhesive foils to achieve wooden look. Some parts are made of wood or clay. Paper/card pieces are glued together, sometimes there are 3-5 layers to achieve the necessary thickness. After that the finished parts are covered with foils. This is a similar procedure as I use for finishing the hull - it was already described at this thread. Here are some pics from the table and chairs making, you can see there paper basis and also wooden parts: http://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=177&t=68385&start=645#p1539047 http://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=177&t=68385&start=645#p1540913 http://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=177&t=68385&start=675#p1543356 Soon I will bring new pics Kind regards Doris- 883 replies

Hello dear friends your words mean a lot for me, thank you all for the posts and support, that´s a great honour for me. Well, finally I have decided to cover the cabins, but I suppose this will be the most practical. Everything inside is clearly visible through the windows. The ceilings are made of pale squares (to reflect the light) , some of them are decorted with gilded ornaments. Here are the newest pics, so you can enjoy them. Best regards, Doris- 883 replies

Hello dear friends, I am very impressed reading your posts, thank you a lot for your attention to my build and kind words. I am sure, there are a lot of stunning shipbuilders at MSW - much better than me, I also draw inspiration from their work and am grateful that can be here with you. Thank you very much for this oportunity. The idea - to make clear area in the roof - is very good and I am thinking about it. I have other pics for you, this time my husband took photos, so here are some of them. Now I am preparing the support structure for the roof in rear cabin. Please enjoy them:- 883 replies

Dear friends, first I want to wish you all the best for the New Year. I am pleased and honoured reading your posts, thank you very much for your support and feedback. I appreciate it a lot. Well, I build paper models over 30 years and still there are plenty of things, I could make better. The most important is - to do it with love. Yesterday I finished the cabins, so I am bringing now many pics and you can enjoy the atmosphere of luxury interior in Royal Caroline yacht. I do not have exact description or plans of real cabins (suppose it does not preserved), so I created it by my own imagination and taste. About removable roofs - it is a question - of course this could be interesting opportunity to watch the interior in a full detail, but the ship will have complete masts and rigging so that makes impossible to move/remove the decks and roofs. I did not thought about this solution. BTW, all is visible through the windows, especially after lighting. Some pics - view into the windows- 883 replies

Hello dear friends! I am very impressed reading your feedback, thank you very much for your appreciation and kind words. I am also pleased and honoured that my work attracted other women - your wives. I like ship modeling, but there are only few women in our country, who also enjoy this hobby. Please convey my cordial greetings to your wives. And now what´s new on RC The main cabin is almost finished; chairs, table and other furniture and decorative items are already in place, I improved baroque clock and now preparing a final decoration .... From the process: Please enjoy the pics, after finishing the interior I will take a lot of new photos and put them here.- 883 replies

Hello dear friends! I am pleased reading your posts, that is a great honour for me and appreciate your favor a lot. Thank you very much for your support and kind words. I have also found plenty of marvelous inspiration here at MSW watching your masterpieces and this helps me to achieve better results in my work. I am still learning and trying to improve, nobody is perfect. Some details in the cabins were replaced and I am going to change some others, couse in the larger pics I can see various mistakes and I am sure, it is possible to make it better. Now I am making chairs, some of them are almost finished. In the end I am going to decorate all these chairs with tiny gilded ornaments. The upholstery is made of blue-gray suede. paper basis for chairs: Bets regards, Doris- 883 replies

Hello dear friends! Thank you for your comments and kind words, I appreciate them a lot and I am glad, you like my work. I have to excuse I was not here for a long time. Several months the work on Royal Caroline was frozen, I have had health problems and moreover I am sorry to say, but there are some envy and grudging people in our country who discouraged me from modeling. In autumn I have started to assemble some plastic kits from Revell http://modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=175&t=79951 and found again pleasure and desire to work on RC, so now I am continuing with interior of cabins. I really enjoy this kind of work. Here are pics, so enjoy them. The furniture is made of wood or paper covered with self-adhesive foils with wooden look. Decorations are hand made from modeling clay. finished railings: ¨ Making furniture for the rear cabin- 883 replies

Hello dear friends, Thank you for your kind words, I am glad I can share my work with you all and find a lot of great inspiration here at MSW. Well, I started to build models when I was six and my mother was surprised that i had a bit different hobbies as compared with other small girls. But I could not help myself and enjoy this hobby to these days. Thank you dear Anja, I am pleased you like the changes on Royal Caroline. I also like the actual appearance more than previous+. And my new avatar comes from the recent boat trip. Take care, Doris Hello dear Sjors, I try to look for the new ways, how to improve my work and achieve better results. Sometimes I am satisfied, but there are a lot of things, I could make better. So this is a motivation for future projects. Thank you very much, Grant. Now I have about 30 ship models at home, some of the older ones have plenty of mistakes, but this way I can compare progression of my modeler skills and learn from own mistakes. Today I took all my ships out to clean them. I use only a soft brush. Here are some of the biggest ones:- 883 replies

Hello Sjors and thank you a lot! That is my favourite room in our house. I have made only few new details on Royal Caroline, because I have no time for my hobbies now. In the end I have decided to change again the surface of belfry and other details, because I was not satisfied with previous modification and its cleanness. BTW, I looked again at the paintings of Royal Caroline and I did not find red colour on these parts. Only the chimney is red. There were added anchor ropes, I made them on Rope Walk by Amati.- 883 replies
