  1. Continuation Tools and the adaptations used for polishing of the case before a covering.
  2. Information on the Montanes hull is additional The hull became covered previously with linseed oil and was dried about two weeks, then shellac not less than 10 times was brought - I precisely didn't consider, was guided on color. But it wasn't simple a covering, and shellac polish with intermediate polishings (the technology is described in many books on joiner's business, I was guided on described in the magazine the WOOD Master of N1, February, 2008). For polish the orange shellac acquired in art salon is used. The choice of shellac and provisional cover was carried out by means of samplers with various combinations of coverings. I give a photo of one of samplers (at various lighting) on which figures designated various combinations of coverings: 1. Karnauben wax, drying, some layers of orange shellac. 2. Some layers of orange shellac on a clear wood. 3. Some layers of lemon shellac on a clear wood. 4. Linseed oil, drying, some layers of orange shellac. In my opinion, before applying any covering, it is desirable to check it on samplers from a concrete material of the hull.
  3. Beginning of my construction of Corsair. HULL In nasal part and a stern balsa inserts are applied.
  4. This model is popular among modellers and before to start it building, I walked on Internet open spaces therefore on DDM found the whole branch of reports on Corsair construction. Unfortunately, this information is lost now because of DDM accident. After viewing of these reports I silently was glad that at me balsa preparations of inserts in a nose and a stern already lie. The reason – on photos which I managed to copy from the report of the modeller of Frank B48 on Corsair construction on DDM: pay attention to a deflection of primary covering in nasal part of the case and that from this turned out after installation of a fair covering and finishing processing. From collected information I used something at construction of my Corsair model.
  5. In the USA the same kit supplied with certificates of conformity, was on sale at that time under the name "Piracy Ship" (two options 27 and 37 inches long), only the coloring was recommended another and two sets of sails were applied: black and white.
  6. The model is constructed of a kit intended for sale in Europe. The model is constructed with little changes - sails from a kit are replaced and small additions are made: kegs, lamps and mast with the curtailed sail in the boat.
