    14.2 . MASTS 14.2.1 . Wooden details Wooden preparations are made as well as for a bowsprit, then round parts are pierced on a cone and finished by means of the adaptation shown on IMG 3534. Mast and topmast are made by means of a special head of PROXXON and MF 70 milling cutter.

    Hi, Carl! I already understood long ago that without the corresponding good tool anything sensible you won't make, especially models of the sailing ship. And if there is no ready tool suitable for this work, it is necessary to do it though it and demands a lot of time .

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
