  1. this is how it should be done in theory. On a model in the Amsterdam museum.
  2. First thanks for the comments and likes, mutch appriciated. The blocks are ready and collored Mast painted (black) and colored (brown parts) where the mast goes through the deck it is sealed with "cloth" first a plastic ring tissue paper and CA gleu painted and dry tested Mast set up With the mast in place, a small celebration with the flag temporarily flying on the mast.
  3. No 😇. looks good to me, much better than te kits instructions
  4. Small update Started with the blocks and the mast, making the blocks is time consuming work...
  5. Indeed, It's been a while since I've used this method. Only for quickly drilling a hole when the XActo knife happens to be nearby 😉
  6. Also possible for drilling smal holes. An X acto knife With the blade With a 1mm drill
  7. My condolences for your loss. Just saw your progress on the model, great work.
  8. The next step is gluing the forecastle to the model. Since I still haven't found an answer to the question of how the yard of the fore sail was raised, should I do it with or without a knight? Without a knight is easiest, but then I'll be stuck later. With, I'll first have to adjust the forecastle decks. I'm currently enjoying building the Corel yacht the most. And I'm learning things on this (practice) model that I can later apply to Mary Rose. Please be patient, to be continued.
  9. And after a few more extra details I think the hull is now complete Next : mast, yards, rigging, sails...
