    Like a flight deck of ghost planes,   fiddly little things  mate  -  when the paint is on them  I bet it will make all the difference.

    So I bought a Trumpeter 6 pack of Kingfishers, and added PE from spare parts. I really don’t like the little kits are they are very basic and misaligned but so be it.

    The first of the 4 types of aircraft I’ll use on Thai build, as you can imagine I have quite a stash of spares in Pe, so firstly the Curtis Seagull, one as a trial to see how it looks then the first trial using some pe and brass rods

    The Trumpeter kit for uses the netting in 2 pieces and some ridiculous flimsy arms to hold them, and Eduard provides something better with really **** poor instructions, 

    the net needs to be bent to about 80degrees

    then it needs a rivet strip among side the top to reflect the real things.

    Now a dark wash to bring out the planks
     
     
    and a buff overspray to represent wear

    So today is deck day. First a base coat, then the deck markings. Weathering next

    WW2 and modern warships have gantries alongside the flight deck. Langley had a net.
