  1. I have started the trunnion cap squares of the carriages. I photographed how I made them. Maybe, it can be an inspiration for some.
  2. Thank you Allan. I don't round the axles, I use round fake axles. I put the fake round axle extension on the wheel and glue the wheel on the axle.
  3. I painted the rudder, added pintles braces and iron hoops to the rudder head and fixed the gudgeons to the stern post.
  4. I am fixing the pintles to the rudder. I will add the brass braces after painting the rudder.
  5. Before any of the deck fittings is installed and while I can still do upside down the hull, I prefer to make and install the rudder at this stage of build. I am using the drawings in the Alert book for the rudder details.
  6. Thank you Cisco. I bought the brass cannons online from a local hobby store. I am using hornbeam for the carriages and the other fittings.
  7. I'm putting together the pieces I prepared for the Carriages.
  8. I started building the carriages. As always, I use the drawings from the Alert book
  9. I have started working on the windlass. Some parts in the photos have not been glued and fixed yet. Just dry fitting.
  10. Thank you Bruce. Be careful, don't let the admiral realize you stole her pot
  11. Thank you Allan. No, I don't think you can use my method at your model scale. I use 1,8 mm of cutter.
  12. I made the companionway, hatches, gratings and skylight according to the drawings in the Alert book.
  13. I am back at my shipyard after a long summer break. I started with the main hatchway to make the deck fittings. As always, I use milling machine when making the grating elements. I used a sandpaper that I attached to a pot to make the camber on the grating. (for those looking for a practical way to create this camber)
  14. I made the nail effects with pencil and added waterways. I started working on the bulwarks and transom.
  15. Thank you friends for your compliments and encouraging words.
  16. Hello friends. I photographed Essex, completing a few minor details. Its construction took approximately 2500 hours in 2 years. Enjoy watching.
