  1. I continued with the bow framing. Before glueing the gun deck I cut the openings for the gratings, ladders and masts on it and started the waterways.
  2. Thank you so much for the likes and comments my friends. I glued the bulkheads and put spacers between them. I always put these spacers as a precaution against warping the keel in later stages.
  3. I always add the keel, stem and sternpost first but before adding them I cut the rabbet where the keel, stem and sternpost will be installed. This helps us a lot when planking,
  4. I'm back with a new project—a 1:76 scale model of the USS Constitution. As always, I'll be building it entirely from scratch. For reference, I’ll be using the Constitution book alongside the kit plans from Model Shipways. Although the Model Shipways kit doesn't include details for the gun deck, I plan to add both the deck and its details to my model. At this stage, my intention is to fully rig the ship, except for the sails. However, since this will be a long-term project, I’ll see where time and progress take me. As always, I welcome constructive criticism, suggestions, recommendations, and general feedback. The pictures show my progress so far, and I’ll continue sharing updates as the build evolves.
  5. Thank you very much, my friends, for your likes and nice comments. My next project is the USS Constitution scratch construction that I've already started, and I'll be starting to share the progress soon.
  6. Hello friends. After about 1200 working hours in 13 months, I completed the Alert. Many thanks to everyone who followed, contributed, commented, advised and criticised. My next project will be USS Constitution scratch build. See you soon!! Enjoy Watching.
  7. The halyards were secured and a few rope hanks were added to the cleats and the pins .
  8. The jib halyard is secured to the deck with a tackle while the fore sail hallyard is secured directly to the winch cross piece.
  9. Thank you so much for the likes. I started rigging of the bowsprit. The traveller which I made from scratch was put on the bowsprit and the rope connections were made according to the drawing in the Alert Book.
  10. I prepared the bowsprit and mounted it together with the windlass I had made before.
  11. Hi, Just found your log. I am also building Cutter Alert from scratch. I found your work very successful. I will be following you as it is a work that I can inspire.
  12. Thank you so much Bruce. Yes, the knee problem is really disgusting. It stole almost 1.5 months of my life from me.
  13. Dear friends, I had to take a break for a while due to a health problem in my knee, but I'm fine now and I'm back at my shipyard. The boom and some details are done.
