Back at it?
Well, my poor Triton has been sitting idle for almost a year and collecting sawdust from my other addictive hobby - pen-turning. (A dark abyss, but rewarding for the fast results). A victim of this new passtime and the bathroom renovation from hell at my cottage, the deck clamps that I started laying out last January have not been touched in months. I did get a new Proxxon saw blade which I hope will fix my frustrations ripping planks.
So, here is the status on the deck clamps:
Using The Anatomy of a Ship: HMS Diana I planned out the anchor stock design and realized that, because of the angled cuts, it would be easy to make these run crooked. The lines on this paper are exactly the width I need for the clamps so I am able to lay out the planks nice and parallel, keeping them in place with pins as I go.

Old forward section has been installed and reinforced with copper wire and epoxy the same as the aft section.

Thanks for all the likes.
Old stern section has been installed, and reinforced with 18ga copper wire epoxied through into the keel.
Next up will be installing the old stem section in the same fashion.

Next step is the after deadwood.
I made the components of different strong woods, to make the shapeing later easier. The center line was marked with small stencils and a small 1.5mm drill bit was used to set holes for small pins. The following photo shows the alignment of the lower part on the keel.
All components are put temporarily together
Before the components van be glued together, the upper Notches for the last parallel frames must be milled.
After assembly, the deadwood is supported from the back with small wood pieces to have a smooth and, above all, stable support during milling:
As final step the template will be cut out:
The last picture shows the deadwood after milling the starbord site
Next step will be the port side.

After a Long time I can Show new Progress of the build of my Sloop. After the stem I started building the lower and upper apron. Especially the lower apron, was really difficult. I need three trys until I get an result which I decided to use for my build. I think that I wouldn't get it better. I accent all glueing joints with brown color. After finishing the stem looks as in the following picture: David Shows in his book a simplified method for Building the rising woodI decided to follow the more detailed way, because I have a very precise Position of every second Frame. I think that this will help me in the future. I used this simple dummy frame during the build for checking the wide of the notches
Next step will be the after deadwood.

The second year of my build is almost over. Not much progress this year, but I hope that I can post a last update at New Year's Eve.
It's time to say Thank You to all who followed my log, to all who wrote their own log I where I found so much hints and inspiration and to the crew of this wonderful forum for their great job..

Finally the sawdust has been made! Your model gave me a lot of the inspiration, very happy to see it taking shape again! Might deserve to be renamed to "Phoenix"? Should be in line with the Swan naming convention!
The building board is great! What do you use to fix the model when working upside down?

So before attaching the original stern section onto the new keel I made and installed the filler pieces under the transoms, three on each side had to be made.
This was completed and checked for symmetry on both sides, tricky little pieces.
