    Out of town the last 10 days but finished all the shrouds and ratlines today.

    Yards all rigged and pinned. I will finish attaching them this week then start on the shrouds. I like to get the yards on at this pint as access is much easier. Will attach the bowsprit once all the shrouds done.

    Sorry to hear. It is difficult to do a quick fix. Did you consider drilling into each end then putting a pin to help stabilize for the clamps and glue to dry ? Would not take long to try. Hate to see such a lovely build put up in ordinary as they would say. Look forward to your next one.

    Didn't take long. Yards all ready for airbrushing then quite a few days to rig them

    Masts and bowsprit complete and rigged. Project for the week will be the yards.

    Masts complete but not rigged. Lower mast painted, upper areas stained.

    Mast starting to go up. I opted to paint rather than stain the lower mast.

    Hull now complete, on to the masts

    Hull mostly done. Prow done, whales/deadeyes in. Last thing to do is assemble the guns. Here carriages lined up for airbrushing

    Thanks. Unfortunately the quality of the castings is nothing compared to Vanguard's photo-printed ones.

    Had been out of town last week and finally got back to the shipyard today. Finished the rails, various eyebolts, battens and sweep hatches.

    After 4 rounds of filling, sanding, painting , repeat, lower hull finally painted. Now I can move on to the upper deck fittings. Also fitted the rudder

    Decided to next get the lower hull painted. Used Vanguard's gauge. Works well with ship on a lazy susan. Th Then taped and painted tape with poly to help seal it. Next I put the pintles on the rudder then clamped onto hull to mount hull pintles Will remove the rudder when I spray and fill the hull. Will paint it separately.

    Finished main deck planking, installed eyebolts and for and aft bulkheads with doors.

    Spent today painting the bulwarks, bulkhead and planking the quarterdeck and forecastle.

    Second planking complete. There was quite a variation in the wood color so I used the lighter ones for the upper areas that would be bare and the darker ones in the area to be painted. Not the best planking but paint is a wonderful thing. First pre sanding After sanding and filling Next wales added then taped off for painting as well as stern counter After pianting
