Hi,
here the next update. I have made the base for the stove from 0,3mm wood strips, cut in squares. The first image show the cutting jig. Second image show some the "Stones" with a pencil line I mark before cutting, it's serve as direction guide by gluing. The "stones" are glued to 1mm plywood base.
To simulate the slate stone the plates are painted with diluted acrylic paint, then rubbed with pencil to give the surface "stone look"

Hello,
the work continues with the gratings and coamings of the quarter deck, and ladder way to gun deck. In this case the gratings should look like "real" and have proper thickness and shape. Follow images show the process. First the upper edge of the block was shaped on this jig:
then cuts are done on tablesaw:
then strips are glued and the whole was sanded again in the jig:
Coamings are build around gratings, ladder way and coaming added:
All is dry fitted now.

Hello all, many thanks for warm words and comments!
not a big update,I have produced stanchions for the ladderway rails. The images are mostly self explanable, I hope
They are turned on Unimat from 1,5mm brass road. Then finished with steel whool on Dremel Tool. The rings are from 0,3mm brass, the rails from 0,4mm.
Finally installing around ladderway after blackening
Continue to work at Q-Deck beams, and how she look now.
Next step will be Capstan.

Captain Poison reacted to DocBlake in Granado 1742 by DocBlake - FINISHED - 1:32 Scale - Bomb Vessel Cross-Section
I built the secondary mortar pit deck off the model by edge gluing the planking together. I then located where the center of the circular cutout would be and drilled a hole. I transferred this location to the primary deck by putting the deck back in place and marking the primary deck with a nail through the hole.
I whipped up a little jig to hold the secondary deck in place while I drilled out the circular recess with a Forstner bit. The secondary deck was glued in place.

The coppering on the starboard side is now finished. You can see the difference between the port side with a finish applied and the starboard with none. I have decided to delay applying the finish until the wale has been redone.
While doing research for another project, I discovered that the coamings were built several inches too short (8 inches instead of 13). You can see the difference in the picture below. Time to rebuild them all.

Hello,
at the moment I make the heavy tye blocks with real sheaves. The single blocks are 7.9 mm long.
They have double stropps and are lashed with two eyes on one collar.
