  1. You are right, David. I hope rain will stop and let me enter in home yard. BBQ is not fun when it rains (I tried couple of times). Thx Mark, it lasts too long. Let's go on something more creative with less pieces. BTW I saw your successful and brave attack to frames with Dremel. Was this something as "edge of patience?"
  2. Not soon, Michael. Rudder, fix black color on hull, stern decoration, mat warnish of coopering, paint rails, and find solution for final stand A lot of work, but I am happy I left this stage
  3. And it is DONE Pictures today, yell tomorrow when lads in white will not snif arround me
  4. Bob, I saw somewhere in scratch build logs making of wheel from million pieces, right in scale. When I get time, I ll try to find and send you a link. In mean time as you wish see logs of Dan Vadas, Chuck Passaro, Nils (Mirabell61), Mark, Popey, EdT and other top builders) or do some research. Marvelous work they did ( somebody to torture me ...)
  5. I bought a pair of very small and thiny paintbrushes, and have to experiment with drawing under magnifier ... In mean time, must force myself to finish planking And to yell, of course
  6. See next Lou`s picture Maybe Michael Mott ( http://modelshipworld.com/index.php?/user/202-michael-mott/ ) can answer, He was on CS and has some private pictures
  7. And now, try to color fonts with golden paint and surface in black ...
  8. Bob, as I see, we can attach *.mp3 files to posts, so, if you really want to listen this, I`ll be glad to attach my yell just at moment when I finish hull
  9. Denis. thank you for advice. I have seen your blogs and topics, and this is great source of inspiration and ideas. And there is (to me) some kind of overload of different sources of information VS lack of time/dedication, spiced with curiosity, impatience and attacks of creativity ... I think this is possible to chose way with weeks of exploration and research for any single move. That way lead to 10-15-20 years for one single model, maybe significant less if you are in this hobby couple of decades and have skills and experience to work fast precise and correct without mistakes. And, creativity by itself demand some results to be seen ... and I try to balance between "do my best" and "I wanna play" Definitely, great fun and joy, and that is the point All your ideas and advices, also critics are more than wellcome
  10. Thx, friends. I ll sure do that I just did ... Chuk`s work always leave me without any text ... This is something I must thik about ... and try ... and experiment ... when time comes Just have looked "Maleficent" ... and Tarzan scream is delayed for a while
  11. Actualy, David, reading your post, I remembered your card work and cutting details smaller than 1mm, and idea comes ... So, even copy paper has some thickness enough to seem as 3D, maybe this is solution: Laser print on paper, cut under magnifier, paint under magnifier and glue on place, them fix paint on whole glued drawing under magnifier Some tests has to be done
  12. And this will be Mission impossible !!!! I think Even Mr. Cruise could not help Look at next picture. Picture talk alone Question for all : How to do that not to seem as yellow spot (stain, blot, fleck, smudge -whatever) Any idea ???
