Hello all,
And yes, another Victory build!
Welcome all.
My apologies to Amati, but I couldn't wait any longer for their Victory. So I ordered the Caldercraft / Jotika instead as a present to myself on the occasion on my upcoming 40th work anniversary in August.
And boy, she is big and heavy. A box filled with 15 kilo's (33 lb) of all kinds of goodies.

That's a real beauty !
I love your way of working.
I'm happy that you are chancing the masts for other wood.
This looks more real.
And your capstan is just outstanding !
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for you and your love ones !

Sjors got a reaction from FrankWouts in Royal Louis 1780 by Ulises Victoria - FINISHED - Mamoli - Scale 1/90 - French 126-gun ship
Ulises,
Maybe there is something else what you can try....
Instead of a very small piece at the top, you can cut two planks the size you need to get to the top.
So bottom plank has his own size, two next a little smaller.
There is a next planking goes over it ?
Then they hide the two smaller planks.
But you are on the right track!

Thanks Ulises,
And thanks Nigel.
I understand all of it.
And I must say...I love the idea what Nigel is telling you.
So let me see the final result

Ulises,
You have to help me with this....
The first plank goes under the metal gun ports.....
The second one above , you have to glue that against the lower one......because there is no other support.
Then you are working to the top...
But when I see it right, you have to cut the final plank that goes between the gun ports....
That one has to be glued to the 2 planks in between.....
That's gonna be precise working then......

Sjors got a reaction from BenD in HMS Snake 1797 by Sjors - FINISHED - Caldercraft - Scale 1:64
A little update again.
Coppered the rudder, make the ropes to the steering wheel.
Place the poop deck and stern deck.
Painted and the decks are done with Danish oil

I 'm not that fast Mike 🙂
Coppering of the hull is done!
The starboard side is with glue en the port side with double-sided tape.
And that works just great!
No glue on the tiles.
No glue on the fingers.......

Update time,
I have glue the frames.
Also the support on the bow and sten.
Then the lower gun deck and the support for the false canons
Also removed a part of the upper support. between frame 9 and 10.
My first thought was ....strange.
It cost a lot of problems to get that support into the slots and the I have to remove a part.
But, Horatio Nelson needs a way to get on board on a easy way.
So it's not the entrance.
Enough talking, time for pictures!
