  1. The 20mm shields/tubs Pontos do them in resin, nice thin walled jobbies. OC.
  2. I have a side board it got to sit on so I'm controled size wise by that, to have doen the dio I would have liked to would have taken roughly a 5foot square board, but thats a no no. I have a few ideas for the layout (movement of figures etc) dictated by what stage in the battle I do. OC.
  3. I used to see Twin Otters quite regulary flying over me. OC.
  4. Yep I hear you, I tried in vain to bend the stair treads but found I was just breaking them, even by starting at the bottom one using a fine blade - still no good, on one of my builds I just left them as they were on the Pe fret with the hand rails bent in though. OC.
  5. Excellent work, I fully understand how you feel about the pe rails and stairs - I was the same and that was in 1/350 so I can imagine how it would be in 1/600😬 OC.
  6. This is getting - Better and better so many places of interest to watch. OC.
  7. Same as Ken - really nice work Jack. OC.
  8. I have to say - its Great having Kurt sitting on on this build - Its an interesting build as It is but also great having Kurt chat on here 👍 OC.
  9. What I found real useful with Vallejo putty is you can also use a cotton bud or piece of rag and wipe over the gap being filled, or even a finger - its that plyable. OC.
  10. Looking even nicer now its got some Red on it - really nice work. OC.
  11. Very nice kit and start, Airfix have been really improving with thier new moulds. OC.
  12. I have an idea (ups careful OC) for when you do your deck railings - how about if you made a very fine shallow gouge out on the deck edge between the hull and where the deck sits, it might help the railings adhere better and be stronger, I had considered doing this on my Warspite - but after i had fitted them. You could use one of those panel line scribers. OC.
  13. Similar to the Shorts Sunderland Brother. OC.
  14. Gonna put a load of cones up for the duration of the battle or a filter light system, but as soon as "Boney" come down the hill they will be on a permanent Red light😃 OC.
  15. That is looking really impressive so much detail mate. OC.
  16. Can gaitors be watered down when used say on handrails - would that still work? OC.
  17. Think I will be calling on you (frequently) when I tackle my Dio build (the figures are the easy bit) OC.
  18. She is making good progress brother, and I like the idea of working on the fiddly deck fittings first before the superstructors go on, more room to do waht you have to do - paint etc. OC.
