  1. He is still in hospital being kept in while they access what daily help they can provide when he goes home - thats a good thing - still depends if he wants the help and if he will start ignoring his door again. OC.
  2. Yep I thought of that from day one brother - before doing anything else I thinned the bases they are moulded to, down till they are just thick enough to support them - See "great minds think alike"😉 OC.
  3. And enjoy the trip............. OC.
  4. Yep I always wanted to build it as a Permanent Dio and not a wargaming set up - hence why Im cutting them off thier bases when I am ready to fix then down with super glue and possibly pins into thier feet, just need to work out the muddy areas. OC.
  5. I could do with doing the road last I guess so I could push some of the figures into it a bit - I think (Just guessing here and probably not the way to do it) OC.
  6. Do you find you need to give the Vallejo primer a good few days to harden before putting paint layers ontop? I find if it hasn't had enough time its still soft and scrape off with a finger nail. OC.
  7. Another interesting aspect - I will be taking the bases off the figures so they will be on thier feet, would be good if I could show them slightly bogged down as the ground had been sodden from heavy rain so thier feet would have been partially covered in the soft grounds I would have thought? OC.
  8. My dad used to tell me that test pilots of MB bang seats back then in the Meteor used to grow a few inches then shrink the same amount during firing and coming down in the chute, how true that is Im not too shure - but interesting anyway. OC.
  9. Certainly going to be uncharted territory for me never done anything like this before. OC.
  10. Tamiya surface primer give me good results - just needs spraying out doors though. OC.
  11. Oh, just thought Ideas-suggestions? I was going to use sandpaper for the strip of roadway, the idea I thought of - glue it down with PVA then prime it and paint in Grey and weather it - what do you think? OC.
  12. You have reminded me to order some more PVA brother - "Ta" will put that on me list - quiye excited about it now I have the main bits ordered. OC.
  13. Apperently the last pic - its comes pre made on a strip, I will be adding some soil/dirt and trees to that as it will be for the orchard where the french first attacked, then the other end where the veg garden was (not as mutch room that side) I will possibly use some of the same - make it all look beat up from all the trampling off the all the soldiers. OC.
  14. I dont think I would have the skill brother - I think I would be scared of it going wrong, keep going I know you will inspire me to one day have a bash. OC.
