  2. Yep, they are waiting for some wheels to be shipped over by horse and cart but have to go though the fields near - yes you guessed it Waterloo then they can carry on with the building of the chopper - there is a mixed bag of soldiers inside sitting it out playing cards - French Infantry, KGL snipers , British Infantry and even a few cuirassiers but without the horses - the horses are in one of the aircraft hangers sharing some freeze dried hay and condensed water pelets, OC.
  3. This looks very interesting mate - good practice if you ever fancied building a whole scale castle. OC.
  4. Evening all, right the Wokka needs power - please find fitted One engine glued and filled, the other one is on the other side but needs filling around the gaps. Perhaps I should call it - "The Time Machine"😉 OC.
  5. Found this on the net today (not my pic) shows what we were talking about. OC.

  7. Well said - its a true testament (I know I havn't spelt that right) to our fine forum we are a family and we stray when food is on the table or mentioned - some of us can smell it even when offline or on another site, lets say its fuel for the brain to keep our build - building - keep building (bet that doesn't make much sense)☺️ OC.
  8. I decided to show my bucket list of all the kits I would either like to do or have because of a special reason to me and the admiral, so here goes - 1/350 HMS Warspite Battleship, because both myself and the admiral loved the look of her - built. 1/350 HMS Trafalgar Class Sub, because we used to see them by the coast where we used to live - built. 1/72 Black Pearl, built for the admiral as she loves the films - built. 1/48 RAF WW2 British Airfield Diorama, built in my late farthers memory as he used to work on various airframes during the war - built. 1/48 Royal Navy Seafire, my farther also used to work on these - built. 1/48 RAF CH47 Chinook, It was the first military helicopter the admiral saw with me - building. 1/48 Royal Navy Hawk, It was the first fast jet that the admiral saw with myself on one of our walks - In my old stash to be built. 1/48 RAF Hurricane, my farther also used to work on these - future project (perhaps next year). 52mm Battle for La Haye Sainte (Waterloo) diorama, used to playfight with the Airfix OO scale when I was a kid - on-going project. 1/350 Type 42 Destroyer HMS Edinburgh, we used to see her a few time where we used to live - another future project late next year as its not in production yet but will be. 1/35 Scammell Commander Tank Transporter and Challenger 2 latest up armoured Tank, we used to see these go past us on the way to one of the ranges (superb sight) - future project. 1/18 Lotus Esprit Turbo (With Full body kit) I very nearly purchased one of these years back in a mad heart over head moment - future project (I have not come across one of these in kit form. 1/48 French Navy Super Etendard (SEN) + 1/48 French Navy Rafale, because we used to see these over a Two week period on a range near to were we used to live - future project. 65mm Englsh Civil War figures, because I wanted to join up as a reinactor when I was younger - future project. OC.
  9. No problem at all mate, I completely agree about the pre-work that needs doing first - it helps having kits of this size - more space to work on. OC.
  10. Good day all, more work on the rear rotor housing - I decided to completely fill in those horrible Huge panel line gaps and sand them flat. OC.
  11. Thank you Denis, yep its taking a bit of fiddling to get it to look right - getting there though - bit by bit. OC.
  12. After doing some google searches - that part in the rear rotor housing just visible is some kind of Gearbox unit? OC.
  13. Yep, its one of the flaws with it - shame really as everything else is about right with kit - takes some fiddling with the fit, but gets there in the end. OC.
  14. I'm the same with flying - ok if I dont look down out the window and have been ok when going through clouds as the obscure the ground - have flown in a C172 (4 seats) then a B707 (180) then a B737 (130) and last a DH Dove about 10 seats I think, the dove didn't help at the pilot said one of the engines had a slight miss-firing problem at the time (my face then)😵😨 OC.
  15. Evening all, more progress - not much content but some good improvement, I painted the inside cover of the rear fuselage rotor area, then it was glued inplace and then a few gaps were filled and sanded, then on the same general area - the kit makers decided to make an acess cover panel lines be engraved - but in true life the gap would be about 2-3 Inches wide, so I had a go at filling the gap with my vallejo filler - hopefuly this will look ok when primed and painted. OC.
  16. I was once asked to do a bungy jump - I replied "Not on your nelly" OC.
  17. I couldn't have done it as I suffer from vertigo when high up, I can't even look down from a high building, I was up the top ramparts of a castle the once and nearly got stuck as I froze from looking down over the edge. Nope can't do hights. OC.
