Thanks Popeye,it is the same yard just a bigger sail and a new rope walk. The old rope walk was to stiff with glue and too long. The wider yards should look better as well.Once you get the technique for one new job the rest is easy just like the rest of the ship,as you know.

Happy b/day Popeye, any deadeyes on the day?

Good one Popeye,i wondered what tea people used,i guess whatever is in the cupboard.Mine will be Kenya gold from Kericho,Kenya and Dilmah from Sri Lanka, you can heat it up to drink it when you've finished with it as well.

Good job on your deadeyes Doug, nice and level,i was glad to finnish those 3.5mm ones, difficult alright.I had most of my mast bending from about half way up,another thing to watch on the next one.
-
Just a note Doug when tightening your deadeyes etc check your masts are still square mine are'nt but to late to rescue mine.I just won't take photos from the front or back square on.

Good one on the mast top holes,in this picture of the foremast not sure if you can see the hole i had to drill but the thread goes through that single block and down.I'll need to do a hole on the mainmast as well looking at sheet 5.If you're not sure where things go look at the plan sheets 4,5,6.I have'nt done this enough.Just get your shrouds tight, you can pull them in just under the mast tops like i did i think it's called the cartherpins.

Hi Doug she's looking great, nice job.Have a look at plan sheet 4,Foremast mast top at the rear of it you need to pass a rope down from the top crosstree down the back of the mast to the base of the mast.I ended up having to drill an awkward hole through the mast top, better now than when i had to do it.

Thanks a lot men, getting there spring is nearly here, the silhouette shot was the only way i could see the rigging.I guess you could try a plain wall or white sheet behind it.

Thanks Anja,Popeye and Frank another one down and closer to the day i can retire and spend more time on my ships. The cake is the highlight these days.Frank it's easy enough to cut the wrong line at the best of times.I was given some calico by Denis in Auckland so i would like to copy what you did a lot later on.
-
Thanks Augie and Mark, thats good to hear it looks right.I got the advice from Frank to get the shrouds tight then it's easy.
-
