  1. well she made it back into the mancave, but the stagecoach must be completed first, i have promised myself
  2. good evening everyone thank you for the comments, i got the Enterprise out of storage, did a lot of contemplating, and thought i need to finish something, I have very little to show for this year, other than the display case, im aware its not a race but that’s me so the coach continues both sides are now pretty well covered, and the wrapping of the ends is going on, a lot of sanding is required the final couple are with the seats just placed in for now to see how she looks
  3. so pleased you updated this log, i will be restarting my soon
  4. you mean you wont let sit down and watch one of those programmes where everyone is in the pub and no one owns a washing machine
  5. good evening everyone i have a problem (or maybe i am the problem) is the doctor still around? my desire to get on with the Enterprise is making me want to put this away, which is a shame, does anyone else suffer from that, or is it that i am spoilt for choice, anyway i did a few bits but moved on the the soft furnishings the coach internal has to seats either end and a bench through the middle 2 + 3 + 2 and two up top these were fun to make up, but the nail heads do detract the final finish, i am trying to dull them down
  6. i never thought that the box art would add so much to the cost of a kit, this could be another way ahead for others to copy (you certainly are leading the way ahead in the wired clan) lol
  7. lol im sure they were far better than my feeble attempt
  8. good evening everyone spent a good few hours put these 1x5mm strips on, two strips is a clamping limit (with my clamps anyway, i also built the two after wheels up i seam to have sanded it down ok, and no hidden surprises
  9. put away for another day, i will be bringing the Enterprise back to the table soon into the cabinet she goes
  10. thank you, the kit provides for the window blinds and lettering, in fact the kit does a good set up - but as i have found in the past AL does provide poor strip-wood lamps are also included, powered by a 9 volt battery, but they look over sized
  11. the covering is with some very poor 1x5mm veneer, i have done the lower half of one side and will post a photo later
  12. Thank you so much for your reply, i appreciate that very much, i would still like to put some gloss varnish/lacquer on there
  13. well i finished the out side coach work, that was actually quite enjoyable, YES it could have been a lot lot tidier but it is being covered over
  14. how was the wooden body protected, was it varnish, and if so, would a high gloss been available, as that is what if fancy putting on? and thank you for your wealth of knowledge on the subject
  15. thought memberS might like to see this looks like the first 4 parts are available to order, a very different kit to the Enterprise @cafmodel HMS Bellona,HMS Bellona (cafmodel.com)
