Hello guys, i started this ship at January 2016 and after a long brake period i decided to finish it

and some photos of the paint job, as you noticed i decided to add aftermarket cannoports cause i had a majot problem to build the frames perfectly square

and some photos of the copper plating, i used copper tape and a riveting tool to simulate the copper plates, this weekend i finished one side

well...today I finished copper plating the hull and the rudder, and I applied a first coat of blue patina, the result after one hour was this

i build the San Ildefonso myself but i have double planking and no copper on the hull.

is that youre own choice?

i really like what i see and i will follow you.

hello sjors, yes it was my choice to copper the hull, and i know you have finished san ildefonso  i have read your topic 1000000 times

Ioanniz,  I have the San Ildfonso on my list for possible next build. It appears you are the only person with a build log for this fine ship.  Are  you still in the process of building her?

I’ve build her also and finish it.

I found your build log. The reason I did not locate it when I first looked at the MSW "Quick-Find Indexes to Build Logs" is because it is spelled incorrectly as AN Ildefonso. 

 

You did a great build.  After looking at your build log, I have decided to order the kit for my next build. I hope the kit offered by Age of Sail for the Occre kit OC15004 is the same kit you received from Spain.

More thought

well guys. Here we are again after some years i decided to finish the model. Lots of parts are missing cause i had to move two times to new house. i had to organize to order some new lumber and rigging parts, i also laser cutted some parts my self.

I modified the model according to Lenarth Peterson book ''Rigging Period ship models''

i'm in the phase of completion of the standing rigging so i am working on building the yards. Good times, the repetitive work of cannons and ratlines is finished.
