how light it is

That's funny, While I was looking at my hull after placing the last planks and looking it all over and deciding if it was Viking funeral time or not, (Now with a full hull she can be floated) I thought that if nothing else she was solid and now has a little heft.

Nice work on cutting her free, Al.   That's always a surprise when you cut them loose, they're so light... and pretty strong.

Thank you Lawrence. You’ll be there before you know it. You are build a larger and much more complex ship and doing a great job of it at that.

Along with learning how to carve the decorations I’m making my treenails. I know you were trying to decide on a material to use for them. I decided on bamboo for two reasons. I want them to be very subtle as they would not really even show at this scale. Second I couldn’t draw any other wood through the Byrnes draw plate without constant breaking. Once I got the hang of the bamboo it went easy.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I've been away from modeling since I last posted on this thread due to a family emergency.
