Welcome to another addition of simple boats built by Dave.  I have gone down the rabbit hole of having more kits then years left on this earth.  I can only hope I get to all of them...I can not wait to retire!

so here is the box and insides for post #1...since it was an EBay find, someone had already taken all of the pieces out of the wood blanks and didn’t break them!  I was missing half of the stem so I had to scratch build a new one.  Practice!17FEE6ED-A236-4018-AA90-02001A0B9148.thumb.jpeg.27df9f251284bf2019ba3d1bfcc14e09.jpeg

So first I started by gluing the easy pieces together per the instruction manual.  I scribed the line on the bottom plank.

I almost screwed up my mast step, but luckily I caught it looking at the plans one last time!

i was supposed to trim it so there was 1/16” from the edge to the hole.177A3678-9A55-4195-B1B8-2186316A4A16.thumb.jpeg.fa73dfe26c4e92b5438692fac7ed8c63.jpeg0BD46E7B-3A16-4BF7-8A6D-0A35B90796DF.thumb.jpeg.36560100648c1eeb3191aecc6075b3c3.jpeg2955B6B4-DB6A-4D91-9A2A-A79E394C4536.thumb.jpeg.ccc23707889a2dc4416aec2ea35551aa.jpegB29D6864-376D-4F6F-9C10-44F6EAE47180.thumb.jpeg.6f4fcdec0ad4a4ffaf584d8a98e269b6.jpeg

I decided to do the turn of the century colors, instead of modern day yacht tenders.... so dark green (black green) exterior of hull,  buff ( I did yellow ochre) interior hull,  i did a dark walnut gunwale which I think I am happy with and I chose gunstock for the thwarts...which might be a bit much...I’m undecided on the oars, and mast.
