I haven’t wargamed in nearly 20 years, but the 28mm ranges are great sources of obscure subjects (and fun projects). The R-35 was an early war two-man tankette belonging to the French. The German Army liked them well enough to capture them and press them into service. This is a resin kit with metal detail parts. I assembled it a while back and primed it black. I wanted a quick project for today, because it is nice to occasionally make something that you can finish in a few hours (I can’t build multiple ships at the same time). I tried to make it look nice and muddy. I still have some detail painting to do. I’ve had fun painting it today. Whatever possessed them to even think of it, much less put it into production? And yet must have been useful if the Germans took over and used captured ones. A lot of the early war allied tanks were behemoths, though. They were just too slow.
