Yes, I think you call them fairleads. I do need some kind of fairlead for the anchor rode. As you can see, if the line comes through the chock, it won't line up with the winch properly without a fairlead on the deck. What to do?

Here's how I solved the feeding of the anchor chain. Wasn't on the plans, but it seems logical.

As an update, almost finished. I got an enormous amount of help in fabricating and rigging the sails from Tomshipmodel (yet another star from that NJ club, and a director of the NRG). I have yet to put the reefing points in, and a dinghy goes on the portside amidships.

Thanks for the message. My first scratch attempt was also the Prince de Neufchatel. I wasn't adventurous enough to put sails on my model, but as you say, "The hardest part is deciding to try". So, here are sails! Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Tom. Well I found this party just as the last ale was being swallowed. Sorry I missed it.  But, what a salvage and transformation!  She turned out a very handsome model. Well done!
