Well, it was the Foca Class, but not the Foca submarine.

 

The name of the submarine was ATROPO of the Foca submarine minelayer Class.

 

Since it will be easy to arrive to the right one (only three submarine were made of this class), I think that no one will blame me if I consider you the winner!!

 

In anycase I will never propose again submarines, since are definetly a niche sector and I don't want to kill the game!

It's the German freighter Orion.  She broke in half after being driven aground in a gale near Sunderland, England in 1913. After breaking in two the pieces were re-floated and moved near a pier in Sunderland where the pieces sank. Her remains were removed in 1988.

Are those gunports along the side, heavily armed if so. That forward swept bow makes me think on an ironclad vessel.

The hull colours and bow design are typical of early Imperial German Navy....I suppose....

Can't find anything big enough.....

All English broadside ironclads seem to be black.

it's not French, japanese of Russian...

 

To large to be Belgian Diutch or Danish.

 

Chilean, spanish, or perhaps USS (although I did not succeed in findin g anything like it....)

Those ports were not for guns, she carried only three 4 pounders and she was a Naval vessel.

She was the lead ship of her class, all built in the same year. All were white, an unusual feature for Royal Navy ships of the time.
