Dang, Andy - you don't make this easy!  International headlines...hazy day...St. Lawrence seaway in summer...hydraulic topping lift...doesn't have paired cranes...and there is a clue in the picture.

Well, we can rule out the Edmund Fitzgerald...the USS Constitution...the Starship Enterprise...

Somehow, I just don't think I am getting any closer to this one....

Whew!  that is an interesting tale on the Arctic Sea...

Need to see if I can come up with a good one - not sure if I want to look a subs, tugs, or something totally different!

I had been reading some old industry magazines on board and there where a few articles about her disappearance, and when I was looking for a ship to post, I didn't know it, but I had taken a picture of her in 2007.

And then a light went on in my head... then an evil laugh... :D

I believe that funny looking ship with the funny looking Gun barrel is the Imperial Russian coast defense ship Gangut launched in 1893. Not a popular ship and when she sunk her ex captain said  ".. a vile ship, it's good that she sank, and it is pointless to raise her"

here's a link to a 1/700 scale model of that very photo.
