So this is the overall concept, one or two little girls being rescued by a group of blokes in gas masks

Because I want it to look dynamic I wanted to make a splashing bow wave on the port side as the ship rolls in, so using a UV torch and resin moulded over a silicone rolled up mat, it appears to come up ok. Now it’s not stuck in yet and it’s a proof of concept, I think it may work

So continuing with the wave experiments, the waves are quite easy to make but I’m kinda working in a vacuum, I tried adding some cotton bud but I don’t like it;

Greg, if it's a salt water splash, I think more foam is better.

I think, it´s too much splash for being so close to the harbor wall and seemingly no waves on the water. The figures are way too relaxed in their poses, not expecting a harsh maneuver so close to the wall. A boat this size should only glide with low speed in shallow water close to the bank.

I completely agree with Rob. So close to the pier, only small speeds and almost no wake can be acceptable.

But again, this is your diorama and you can do what you like. 🙂
