I plan on having my grandson participate in building the Jenny. He just turned six so I'm going to have him work on the deck cabin and see how it goes. I can always fix what doesn't work out. Spending the time will be priceless😄

When I mention orphaned kits or projects, folks think they were free.we But no orphan is totally free from expense. Take the Jenny Lee, I just spent $76.00 just on the running hardware package, which is why I believe there are so many of the older Dumas, Billings kits floating around. Most of their newer kits have the hardware package included.

I picked this orphaned kit up a couple of years ago intending to build it for my youngest grandson. So it has found its way to the building table. It's an r/c model. It will measure about 24 inches when finished. I will not be adding a stars and bars flag and will opt for an American flag.

thanks guys, with my eye issues, it's taking me a bit longer to finish a project and I've had to turn down several orphan projects. But I'm still kicking it.

I used some anchor material that I have for another project as a sail cover while it's in dry dock. There will also be minimal rigging.

I usually like to do sail boats in full sail in all their glory, but with the cradle it sits in just didn't seem right to me.

Me to Bob, it looks so graceful and sleek.
