CDW got a reaction from mtaylor in HMS Warspite by Old Collingwood - FINISHED - Academy - 1/350 scale - PLASTIC
Nice that they give you the boom cables with the photo etch. A very realistic look to it, the way the cables sag and all. I like it.

CDW got a reaction from Piet in IJN Mikasa by CDW - Wave Models - 1:200 scale - PLASTIC
With some paint and a few more details added.
Sorry, but my lighting and photography skills are awful.
Will build some small guns that go on the bridge next.

Spent some time, but it doesn't look like much done today. The front bridge requires cutting, filing, and sanding before adding photo etch details to build it. The entire deck gets replaced. Structural details, gussets, portholes and doors have to be added. Next will be a host of other bits and pieces including guns, before the bridge is done. This will take a few days before taking on the rear bridge which is nearly a clone of the front bridge. A little difference, but not a lot.

Hi all, so after a slow start earlier - I managed the complete and fix in place the second crane, so this complates the hanger/boat/crane block.

Each one of these storage lockers are made from multiple pieces of photo etch. Made some more lockers and painted, then glued everything to the deck. That's about all that will get done on Mikasa today. More tomorrow.

CDW reacted to cog in RCN H-class destroyer by cog - FINISHED - Trumpeter - 1/350 - PLASTIC
She got her nose job done whilst I was working on the G-class, since Trumper has an error in it's Tribal class hull form at the bow 1: Previous unaltered build, 2: Current build
The last three as she is now ... ready for the base colours, and I'm working on deck structures

A sister to my previous G-class, build from the same box, with a few adjustments to hull and deckstructures. I'll be using some 3D printed parts to replace the original kit ones as well. The box ... not so much different as the other, both derivates from Trumper's Eskimo kit ... (just print another box's cover and you're done )
Colour scheme will be either Athabaskan or Iroquois
